Air infiltration and exfiltration rate through an installed assembly at a set pressure.
When to use it
Used whenever air leakage of an installed assembly must be quantified — energy performance, comfort complaints, or spec compliance.

- Is ASTM E783 a water test?
- No — E783 measures air leakage. For water penetration, ASTM E1105 is used, often on the same assembly.
